You have "something with a company pension"? Here, in plain language, is what that is, how much of it comes from you, how much from your employer — and where you can look it up at any time. We are not selling you anything here.

The four terms this is about

1

Occupational pension

Part of your gross salary goes into a pension contract instead of into your bank account. Because it leaves gross, you initially pay no income tax and no social security on it — so the reduction in your net pay is noticeably smaller than the full amount. It is taxed when it is paid out in retirement.

15 %

Employer match

When you convert salary, your employer saves social security contributions. Part of that saving must be passed on to you — at least 15 % of the amount you convert. Many employers voluntarily give more.

2

Corporate health care

Supplementary cover your employer pays for you — depending on the plan, for example dental work, glasses or preventive care. You submit invoices in the portal.

Pay transparency

Pay is to become comparable and traceable. Your pension and health cover are part of your pay — even though they do not stand out as a figure on your payslip. Which is exactly why it is worth knowing what they are worth.

What you can do in the portal

1

See your contribution and the split

What you pay, what your employer pays, and what it really costs you net.

2

Check contract and investment

Which contract, which funds, and how they have performed.

3

Retrieve your documents

Everything in one place, with no rummaging through a folder.

4

Report changes

Address, bank details, marital status — in the portal instead of by email.

5

Report a job change

Leaving? Tell us in the portal — we take care of the transfer.

6

Ask questions

Directly in the portal, without a telephone queue.

Frequently asked questions

Does the portal cost me anything?

No. For you as an employee it is free — the licence is paid by your employer or by the broker looking after the scheme.

What happens to my pension if I change jobs?

The contract is yours. Depending on the funding route it can be taken to the new employer, continued privately, or made paid-up. You report the change in the portal and the right route is then agreed with you.

Does my employer see everything I do in the portal?

No. Your employer only sees what is needed for payroll and administration — for instance the contribution level and contract status of your pension and health cover. Private contracts and personal details are not visible to them.

Is deferred compensation actually worth it for me?

That depends on your salary, tax class, term and the size of the employer match — there is no blanket answer. For a first impression, try our net cost calculator; your actual figures are in the portal, and advice is available through your employer or the broker looking after the scheme. This is not investment advice.
